EXPLORING ME
About Me
CJ has been working in the emergency services as an Advanced Life Support Paramedic in Australia for over 20 years. This role involves serving a diverse range of cliental from a variety of social environments. CJ’s passion for wellbeing led her to further specialise as a Peer Responder for Ambulance Victoria, where she supports staff wellbeing by providing psychological first aid, referrals to other health providers and other wellbeing tools.
Recently, CJ has diversified from fulltime paramedicine and has worked as a wellbeing specialist in a specialist assistance school. In this role she supports school aged children to thrive, by understanding their unique physical, social and emotional circumstances.
CJ’s experience as a paramedic was built on a range of previous experiences in caring and coaching roles, including swimming coach, lifesaving coach, first aid instructor and camp counsellor.
She has also pursued her passion for the outdoors and world travel. She has been fortunate enough to educate marginalised Nepali women in hygiene and first aid practices and volunteered in humanitarian aid work.
Everything CJ has done is aligned with her commitment to making a difference in community and her belief that the best way to facilitate this is through supporting young people to be the very best versions of themselves, so they can confidently share their unique gifts with the world.
CJ holds a variety of qualifications including a bachelor’s in health science – Paramedicine, an Adolescent Counselling certification and a Kids Coaching Connection qualification. She is currently in the process of becoming accredited with the International Coaching Federation.
Outside of work CJ enjoys spending time with her family, horse, training her dog, swimming, camping, bush walking and travelling.
